I used another computer which has had XP loaded for some time and opened Explorer 8 and clicked on tools and windows update. When I input the other web site address, it immediately did an over ride back to the last email. In other words, someone has put in the Explorer upgrade a command to take you to the web site that says updates no longer work for XP.
